Peptide
GHK-Cu
Product information
GHK-Cu is a complex of copper(II) and the three-amino-acid peptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, abbreviated GHK. GHK has a strong affinity for copper ions and was originally identified in human plasma.
Laboratory research examines how the copper-bound peptide influences cells involved in maintaining the extracellular matrix, the network of proteins surrounding cells. Experiments in cultured fibroblasts have reported increased collagen synthesis in the presence of GHK-Cu. These findings describe cellular responses under laboratory conditions.
